 About me

Hello! My name is Riya Kore. I'm 19 years old and I am a junior double majoring in Computer Science and Astrophysics at the University of Wisconsin-Madiosn. I work with WIPAC (Wisconsin IceCube Particle Astrophysics Center) as a data analyst and researcher analyzing data from the HAWC Observatory (High Altitude Water Cherenkov) in Mexico and IceCube Neutrino Observatory at the South Pole to study the anisotropy in cosmic ray radiation. I am also researching the origin of the Magellanic Stream and its leading arm for the LMC and the SMC at the Astronomy Department at UW Madison. Last year as well, I was working with the Astronomy Department as I researched the formation of solar systems from proto-planetary disks.

I started this blog with an interest in space and astronomy about two years ago, and now that I am actually pursuing my interest in this field, I don't have time to post here anymore, but I plan to post a few things related to my ongoing research and educate you more about the new things I have learned in Astronomy in the past two years!
